Filmmakers were initially hesitant to sign her because she could not speak Hindi. Katrina Kaif achieved great success in 2005 with the film Sarkar, where she played the role of Abhishek Bachchan’s girlfriend and she was paired opposite Salman Khan in the movie Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya .
